I serve as the company’s principal broker and oversee all corporate, commercial brokerage, project and property management operations. I am directly involved in all due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions and asset repositioning and represent both buyers and sellers of multi family apartment communities, office and retail buildings.
I have over two decades of commercial real estate and property management experience in several markets across the United States including Texas, South Carolina, Ohio, Iowa, Oregon, Montana, Washington, Idaho and Illinois. My expertise in real estate brokerage and property management is financial analysis and performance, due diligence, new construction lease-ups, construction project management of rehabs and turning around troubled assets.
I hold the IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) CPM® Certified Property Manager designation which is the premier certification in property management. In IREM’s words, “The CPM is the elite mark of distinction those invested in real estate demand when they seek someone they trust with their assets. A CPM has the knowledge to maximize the value of any property, in any asset class”. I also hold a broker real estate license in Texas, South Carolina and Ohio.
I love helping our clients acquire the right investment property and meet their investment goals. I look for partnerships and not transactions which is why I take an active role in the due diligence phase and analysis. I work to bring clients the peace of mind that their investment is in the best hands possible. I enjoy being a contributing writer for the commercial real estate magazine, The Network. My passion is giving back to the local community and volunteer for organizations like Boy Scouts, Special Olympics and the USO. I love to travel and explore new places.
In my over 30 years of commercial real estate and property management, I have always enjoyed making things happen. While my expertise extends from onsite and regional leasing, maintenance, operations, rehabs and knocking down delinquency to compliance, marketing and resident retention, I am excited to now work on CIG's corporate team and work with all of our site staff and corporate office to take care of clients’ bottom line, support and train the staff and maintain resources for the residents. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, a great book, podcasts of all sorts of topics and time with my family.
Investment Sales Associate
As a longtime business owner, for more than 20 years, I have worked within tax and bookkeeping as a tax firm owner. I am an Enrolled Agent licensed by the IRS, and earned my Finance degree from the University of Texas in San Antonio. Through my work, I have become an expert in problem-solving while working alongside fellow business owners and leaders across various industries. I am excited to be able to focus my attention on being a vital resource to those interested in commercial real estate.
In my capacity as a Project Manager at CIG, I assist with due diligence, takeover and special projects to include physical inspections, file audits, make readies and construction management. I also assist in budgeting and follow up on common area and interior upgrades of our properties. I love football, wrestling, business and traveling.
I grew up in the Dallas Fort-Worth area before eventually relocating to San Antonio, Texas. I graduated with a BBA in Accounting from SMU in Dallas, Texas and she entered the accounting world as a Cash and Financial Analyst of an esteemed oil and gas company, and later took different roles as the Assistant Controller at a local architectural firm, VP of Accounting of a start up and others. I have a passion for details, organization and accuracy. I loves nostalgia, traveling, exploring new restaurants with my hubby, the color combo pink, white + gold, Christmas and spending time with my family. My favorite Starbucks drink is the Grande Chocolate Almond milk Shaken Espresso.
I started with CIG working office admin work, then marketing and now in my role as the compliance manager, I ensure policy and procedures, forms and company policies are up to date and followed. I am an avid debater, researcher and love traveling and spending time with my friends and family.
Over the course of my property management career, I have enjoyed turning around properties and increasing occupancy and resident retention. In my role as an area manager, I oversee several properties and focus on all aspects of property management supervision - marketing, leasing, collections, make readies, maintenance requests, community relations, improvement projects and many more. My favorite part of my job is the opportunity to make a difference every single day to our owners, company, residents and staff. I enjoy time with my family and exploring.
My experience in real estate expands over a decade with remodeling houses, offices and restaurants. I also have extensive experience in hosting events and special projects for corporate companies. In my role as the company’s Marketing Manager, I handle all the interior design work for our models at the properties, office or common areas upgrades and also work with contractor on design.
Market Research Analyst
I have spent many years in the restaurant development and operations business, researching markets, identifying sites and developing new restaurants that ranged from fast foods to high end steak houses. During my day to day at CIG, I keep our team up to date on current market trends and rents, as well as may new programs that can benefit property operations. I also assist with due diligence for new properties and updating rent surveys for current properties.
