Celebrating Barbara Goldman’s Retirement and Remarkable Legacy
Today, we celebrate Barbara Goldman as she retires after 22 years of extraordinary service, leadership, and heart.
Barbara founded TEAMability, Inc. in 2003 with nothing more than a vision, determination, and educational supplies in the trunk of her car. From those humble beginnings, she built a nonprofit that has become a lifeline for children with severe and complex disabilities across San Antonio and South Texas.
What started as a one-woman mission has grown into a leading resource for integrated occupational, physical, and speech therapy—changing countless lives through a true team-based approach.
Barbara’s passion took root early, sparked by witnessing the struggles of a blind student. She pursued a degree in special education, taught children with diverse disabilities, and saw firsthand the limitations of isolated care. Her belief that children deserved better—and deserved coordinated, compassionate support—became the foundation of TEAMability.
Through every challenge, Barbara reminded us that the resilience of the children and families we serve far exceeds our own. Their strength has guided her work and inspired the community she built.
Today, we honor an incredible legacy and a woman whose vision will continue to shape TEAMability for generations.
Thank you, Barbara, for your unwavering dedication and for the hope you’ve sown in so many lives. We are proud to have been a part of your journey.
